After a big debate on selling due to not being able to work on my truck all summer due to taking care of my elderly mother. Some have read the post i made back at the start of the summer. After almost 15 years i have the doors hanging back on my 49 to see how they line up. They fit pretty good with the need of fixing the caps some. The hinge pins have very little play in them and not worth the trouble of beating them out. This don't seem like much but it is a big moment for me. I find little time to work on the truck. I got my cooling fan to work again and that got me moving along with reading other's making progress too. I also got some fender patching done too and not the greatest work but my first try and welding patch's in.
looks great!
congratulations on the work achieved, EVERY bit helps. relax on the timing, you completed more then I did this summer. life evolves, things happen to slow our progress, but continue to have faith and peck away at it.
Speaking for myself, things always come up that get me derailed from my truck projects. Usually all it takes is getting back to doing something on the truck again to make me realize that this is what I really want to do. You seem to be there now...and next weekend is the F100 SuperNats in your general area. Nothing like looking at some nice trucks to get the fire burning again, good luck!
A little break forced or unforced is not always a bad thing . Without going into your previous posts it looks to me like you have a huge amount done bravo . The smallest things can some times poke a little hole in the wall at the end of the tunnel . Keep up the good work .
Looks great! Its gives you so much satisfaction to get something done. I've been looking at catalogs and ebay all week since painting mine. Hopefully your progress continues, keep updating us, I'll keep checking for more.
Thank You for the kind words. It did make me feel good to get them back on. Thank You Bob too for the kind word. It is a full time job doing it. More progress to come. Later on
I feel your pain. Been there, stuff gets in the way. I got to a point that I had to lay the law down as such with my wife. Now I get one night a week where I don't have to do anything after supper, just go into the garage and do as I please. Some days I get something done. Some days I walk around in circles trying to find the stuff I lost. This week it was pick up tools and put them in a tool cabinet I bought. Still a mess but it is all mine.
