I have a 2018 6.7d Platinum which has been converted to RHD (Australia) - had a problem with updating the module and the dealer here swaped another Sync3 module which came from a Lariat to keep me on the road. This was some months ago and repeated requests for the old module have been given -" the company that does the modifications has stopped corresponding and we are having trouble with new trucks being modified as the USA maps aren't of any use in Australia". My problem is the current Lariat based module has limited functionality - eg no seat massage screen etc and I can't upgrade the software due to the fact the module is registered to the truck's Vin and refuses to download. Also have a few other annoying aspects whereas the screen I had left on when I switched off the motor doesn't reapear and I have to scroll through to get to the digital speedometer screen which altho minor is a damm nusiance . Is there any way I can - apart from trying to retrieve the original module - overcome this problem? Ford Australia don't want to know the F250's in Australia - their lame excuse is it's an imported vehicle (all Ford vehicles are imported into Australia!) and the dealers don't have the skills to service or repair them.
