Anyone have any idea who these might be from? As you can see I’m missing a U. Afraid to remove all of them for fear of damaging the chrome on the grill.
Finally figured out who makes these inserts. Recon. They wouldn’t sell me a single U. Said they would sell me a complete set for $25. Thinking about removing all of them with some music wire to cut the double sided tape and then cleaning off the adhesive residue. I’m just afraid of screwing up the grille chrome.
The rest of the letters seem to be in great shape. If there isn't a noticeable difference between the new set and the old ones I'd just add in the letter that's missing and keep the rest in reserve. Or sell them for $5 a letter to everyone else who is missing one.
Someone else needing one. I’m pretty sure they will match as it is the only company that offers the exact kit installed on my truck...grille, dash, and tailgate.
Thought I would update this thread with a shout out to Recon. A week or so after I attempted to purchase a U from them, I received an email from their customer service...presumably. They asked had I been helped to my satisfaction. Being the candid person I am, I explained not necessarily, but I would still be interested in purchasing the letter U for my grill. A day later they replied stating one was in the mail free of charge. They certainly didn’t have to that, but I’m thankful they did. So thank you Recon. Consequently, I then checked out some of the other products they offer and will likely end up purchasing one of their LED rear cab/bed lights.
