Blinker problem

'78 f150
My left blinkers are acting up.
Drivers front doesn't work (but hazards do)
Drivers rear would sometimes flash sometimes flash 3 times quickly.
I replaced the blinker switch and it seems to have fixed the rear blinker but the front still isn't working.
I cleaned the ground, replaced the bulb but still no driver side front blinker.
I've ordered up a new bulb socket in hopes that it is just worn out.
Any other ideas that would cause this?

Grounding on these is a common problem. so are bad connections in the sockets and bad sockets.

Update.
I replaced the bulb harness. No luck. Front left blinker still doesn't work. Followed wires up to 4 wire plug. No power with test light. What the hell.

Received my new blinker indicator bulbs. Replaced in my dash cluster. Now they work, but....

When I use my left blinker the flashing indicator light stopped working. I can still hear the blinker clicking though. The front left blinker doesn't work.
Then the ah ha moment. If I lightly touch the blinker lever up just a hair the indicator light works... And so does my front right blinker!!

So it's kind of fixed but I'll need to get into the steering column to try cleaning the connection.

remember the turn signals go to both ends of the car.... I would suggest first cleaning the grounds at BOTH ends to make sue a bad rear ground isn't screwing up the fronts. Also, check actual socket grounds - the socket may look great and the ground wire may be good, but internally in the socket you may have a bad connection. Check all of them too.

Grounds are good. I've worked this all the way back to the switch in the column. It's nearly fixed. I could live with it as is but if course I'll get in there and clean it up.
