VET NET

Don't we have any Veterans posting here anymore? I see it has been a very long time anyone has posted there when I posted there a few days ago. Anyway - if there ARE VETS that need it find it, it's here. If one didn't even know there was such a forum, it's here.

Bud...that Forum has been pretty dormant for quite a while now. It was once an active thread...perhaps your efforts can breathe life into it again!!!

I've never found it difficult to locate at all---its right at the top of this very sub-forum.

I'm USMC vet 68-72 but never felt the need or desire to congregate with other veterans---not necessarily anti-social but just don't find discussing bygone events all that much of an interest. Hardly ashamed of my service, will talk to most anyone in person about some events but in the overall I had fairly boring duty.

I am a bit surprised in today's world more vet's aren't active on that or any forum, those who might be "socially distancing" and maybe feeling too isolated?

Yea Vet Net was busy then just died off. 2 Roll Call hits in 2019, 1 hit in 2020.

A couple of those newer recent thread turned into Type A personality versus another Type A personality.

Maybe we can get the ol thread fired back up?

Disappointed in the VA. Vets, did you notice the article that was emailed to you a few days (now weeks) ago from VA about the job opportunity available to Vets at Smithfield Foods ? I find that to be a very disturbing article. How many of you know that Smithfield Foods is fully owned by the Chinese !!!???
I can just hear discussions being recorded by the Chinese just to see how many Vets are talking about their times in the Military and discussing things our enemy wants to hear ! I just can not believe the VA doesn't know that Smithfield belongs to the Chinese !! I wouldn't work for the Chinese if they paid me a fortune !
You all have my permission to SHARE this post if you agree with me!
SHAME ON THE VA ADVERTISING FOR THE CHINESE JOBS
Here's a link to that article: http://www.va.gov/outreach-and-event...thfield-foods/

I first posted this on my FB page and it got little attention. Let's see what it does here. Also tried Vet Net Forum and nada there too. Guess no one cares anymore.

Many of us are probably already working for or with the Chinese whether we realize it or not. Not sure what to think about that or how the VA should be/would be concerned if someone is offering jobs. I'm also not sure the Chinese would be monitoring its USA employees hoping to steal any sensitive state secrets---they have hackers all over "facebook" and in the White House for that!
