No fuel pumps/preload
My '95 f150, 4x4, 5.8 with 360,00 trouble free kilometres really threw me tonight, i picked up my daughter at dance and went for ice cream and lo' and behold, no ride home.
No fuel, no line preload when i turn the key at either tank.
I tried shorting at the test connector to run pump manually but no dice, relay clicks but no pump hum.
inertia switch OK.
fuses good.
relay fine(swapped with horn relay, which is identical)
any ideas would be appreciated.
Really bad timing as my wifes '95 explorer is in my garage right now all back together after doing the entire top end, right after replacing rad, water pump and fan clutch.
fired it up and no oil pressure trying to figure out how to get the pan off without pulling engine. Lots of fun.
Sorry, back to main issue.
My Haynes manual is a little confusing regarding fuel pump issues,
kind of general.
Is there a three fuel pumps? One in each tank and one on the rail, or just 1 in each tank?
Pouring rain here and can't put truck inside because of the explorer being in already, going to tackle this tomorrow night.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions guys.
Mike
