I use my truck for deliveries and every time I slide a pallet in or out the caps over the hitch holes come off. To remedy this I made some from aluminum. Is there a market for these?

How are they held in? Do they fit more flush? .
Seems like a good idea to me, although the number of folks that slide stuff may be limited.
They are slightly high but the edges are tapered so things will slide over them. The main reason I wanted them is to keep dirt and gravel out of them when I am picking up bulk gravel.
They are held in with a clamp like the hitch would be.

Seems like a great idea to keep a shovel from accidentally prying them off. I wonder what % of trucks have the 5th wheel pkg.
If I had the OEM 5th wheel prep kit, I would LOVE to have these. Sadly I have universal rails that came with the previously owned 2016 I have now. Nice job.
Someone already makes the caps in aluminum, saw them awhile ago and when I saw the price I forgot about it. They are posted somewhere here on the forum.
There was a site that sold something similar but it is now defunct. So the market is wide open at this point. I already lost one of my puck covers and bent one of the other ones. I replaced the lost one with one I bought from eTrailer.com but it isn't the same and doesn't match. I'm interested.
More info on the clamp used to hold the covers in?
this was around in the early days of the 5th wheel/goose neck prep from the factory. It didn't last long. I don't think there was enough market for them to make a go of it. I would have bought them if there was.
