I have a question for everyone on engine replacement. First off, I have a 97 F250HD, 351w, 5spd manual, super cab, long box, 4x4. There's about 239k miles on it and the original 351w is getting pretty tired. I'm looking at replacing the original with a "enhanced" 351w long block that is rated at 380hp. From what I have read, my speed density efi will not work with the new long block. My question is, what do or have you done in this instance? Convert to carb? Use aftermarket efi? I'm looking for the easiest way to make things work. This truck is my current daily driver and want to keep it around awhile. I appreciate and and all advice or opinions.

You read wrong.
You can do all of the above, or get a quarter horse(QH) and tune your SD.
Cheapest is QH, probably the highest learning curve.
After market EFI just depends on your budget. Simple and cheap($250) or aftermarket/pimpx ($1000 and up).
I have a mild 351w, tuning takes a while keeping it simple using simple and cheap.
