Just purchased a 2004 E450 V10 van to use as a fiber optic splicing vehicle, has approx 61,000miles
I just got it last weekend and had the oil changed when I drove it back to town, it was nice and clean. Tranny fluid was clean, power steering fluid showed slight discoloration but other than that was good.
I added to Lucas oil upper cylinder lube to the gas tank, seafoam trans tune into the tranny and rislone nano prime oil additive into the oil.
My question is, what sort of preventative maintenance/tune up would you recommend? Im in the process of starting my own business and this will be my workhorse and want to take good care of it. We get really cold winters here as well too, not uncommon to see -30 to -40s some days.
Drives out really strong, no issues at all that I can tell other than maybe once every 10 starts it takes an extra second or two to crank over and then idles a little rough for about half a second before it catches up and smooths out.

My $0.02: Don't add any of this stuff. If it runs well, keep it maintained and it will last a long time. Think of it this way: If it were a fleet truck somewhere where they run them 200,000 miles before selling them, it wouldn't have gotten any special treatment and likely it would still run fine when they sold it. Use some good-quality fluids in it and keep up on maintenance and don't add all of the weird stuff and it will last you a good long time. Remember, same driveline goes in U-Haul trucks and they survive on whatever swill they fill them with for a couple hundred thousand miles until they sell them, usually running fairly well.
