Biught a 2020 F250 and the mirrors dont have the puddle lamps like my 150 did. I just wanted to add some lights under the running boards or on the frame someplace. We have had a snake problem on our property before and I cant hear the rattlers anymore so I need to see them. I laid under the truck and poked my fingers at some things and no wires fell down and said hook up here. Im not going to even guess if there is a wire under the body that has power when the dome lights come on so I will probably have to find a wire under the door channel. Anyone happen to know the wire color I could use. In the channel there is a 2 pin connector that isnt being used. Sure would be nice if that worked. I'll check for power later but was hoping someone may have already done this.

Thanks Ding126, I looked and I dont have the power step connector. There is a empty 2 pin connector in the door channel under the trim. I'm hoping that is the stub for the connector used for the steps. Thanks for the strip lights also If the little stubby 1 ft ones I got from wally world arent bright enough I'll get some of this and run it down the whole length.

Edit. Just checked the unused plug under the scuff plate. It must be a stubbed out connector for the running boards because it comes on and fades to off on my multimeter. Thanks for the tip on the running board plug

I know there is a light kit that taps into the wires under the plastic panel in the floor or door jamb. I cant recall the company at the moment but hopefully someone will add the info.
