Here's a thought. I took my three 16" split ring tires down today to get tires on them. The nice guy at Pete's Tire found tires for the 17" rims, but said to match the tires for height on the 3 16" rims, all he could find were radials. I just want the truck moveable, so I said that was fine. "NO" he said, "It isn't fine". He then explained that the inflation was the problem. He said that the tires on the 17" rims would be marked to inflate them to 60 lbs and the radial tires on the 16" rims would be marked to inflate to 80 lbs. He said that inflating over 60 lbs with split rings would blow the ring off. Any thoughts on that? How about if I mount a 17" tire outside on each dual with a 16" split ring tire mounted inside so it is "caged" on the truck? What a mess.

Are your tubeless rims 16" or 17.5"? Mine are 17.5" and local Firestone says I have to buy online and he can mount them. I would like to replace my front two. I'm running 16" tubeless on back on a chevy rear axle.

My tubeless tires are 8-17.5 and 6 lug. It's the 6 lug that's killing me. The 8-17.5 tires are readily available. The 16" rims are a problem because I'm trying to match height with the 17" rims and the closest they can find are radials. They are still looking and haven't mounted anything yet. Where are you located? I'm in Southern California.

So. Cal. also. High Desert past Barstow in Newberry Springs. We had a Petes for years but they were bought out by some guys that bought both car dealers NAPA Auto, and another garage.

Well, I'm a ways from you. I'm about 90 miles north of the border of Mexico. How many lugs are we talking about on your rims? I finished cleaning mine, by the way, and have painted them black. I think they look pretty good, but I'm prejudice.

Mine are six lug tubeless. Where does 90 miles north of border put you? I'm helping a relative with a remodel in Moreno Valley now.

I think I could help but wheels are in the desert, not here. If I have to go home I'll see how many I have. I have the four from back axle and two in front. If I have a spare I'll have four I don't need. I'm trying to sell off extra parts to recoup the unexpected engine overhaul parts.

Hmmmmm. You have four you don't need and I have three I need and one for a spare for me makes us in business. Are you interested in trading for my 3 16" 6 lug wheels? Trade + money? Let's talk money. Yours are rarer than hen's teeth, and mine are rarer than rooster teeth. Will yours send me back to my personal trainers? Mine, with a lot of help from the Ford Enthusiast Forum and about 3 hours each wheel with my personal trainers are absolutely clean and freshly painted. This is especially valuable if black is your color! (Haha) I don't have to be in a rush about this. Are you driving back and forth between Newberry Springs and Moreno Valley, and if so, when will you go next? I like to drive and I and I can go when you're home if you're not coming back. Lots of "if's". Can I give you my phone # on this forum?

I just took my F100 rims, to the local powder coat shop.
They sand blasted and powder coated all 5, for $250.00
Came out awesome!
