Installing a junkyard ZF5 into my 99 F250. I cannot get the shifter stub to fall into place. It protrudes out of the top of the trans a good .25 of an inch or so. Kinda left me scratching my head. Seems like the ball is not seating all the way in the cup where it’s supposed to. I was wondering if there are different size shifter stubs. Any ideas would be appreciated, thank you.
