I have a 2004 f350 with 6.0. The truck was running fine when I parked it several months ago due to this virus mess. Decided to run it a bit the other day and they batteries were down. Charged the batteries it idled fine but when I put it in any gear it would die. The tow light kept flashing and it would not rev up past around a 1000 rpm. I kept starting it and trying to put it in gear but could not get it to move. I shut it off and a couple days later I got by son to pull it ;up the the garage while I was waiting for him I started the truck in neutral and it slowly moved forward but would still die when I tried to rev it up. Pulled it to the garage and it still would move forward in neutral and the forward gears but would not move in reverse. It felt like the trans was trying to go in more than one gear.
I tried putting it to the floor but the rpms would not go up it sounded as if the air way was blocked.
Put it on the AE and there were no codes. I did get a lot of Ucodes u1058-u1059-u1073-u1027-u1262- these mainly refer to transmission missing data. I also got a b1342 (ecu) internal fault. Changed the ecu and got the same code.
I thought a squirrel may have chewed the wiring but could not find any bare or chewed wires.
Check the harnesses on the drivers side fender liner because, like you, I suspect a rodent might have sharpened his teeth on the chinese wiring. It sounds like it's in the transmission harness but the drivers fender liner is easy to see a whole bunch of wiring to start.
