Need a divider between the 2 rear seats to keep man's best friend on the drivers side with the large seat folded up, and one passenger in the single small seat.Has anyone bought or built something for this that is more scientific than just a piece of plywood wedged in between the back canine & human passengers? Trying to keep the hair and slobber off the rear seat human who sits in the back right.
There are leashes designed to work in back seats to keep your canine buddy restrained...but still able to move around.
If attached closer to the door, it would keep your human slobber-free. To test the idea, attach a leash to the metal frame under the Rear seat...located right by the rear door. It might work well enough that you can just get a short leash, quick connect for the leash, and be done.
Maybe for a short trip but on a 3day drive from Canada to Florida, we like to let her loose back there, able to do a full turnaround and make herself comfortable in any position.
We have used a Sof-Krate, soft sided and folds up. Probably not big enough for your doggie, but several companies make different versions and sizes. Good luck.
We just had this issue with are GSD (100lbs) while evacuating for Laura. We just had a bunch of stuff stacked in the single seat area. The only thing I can think of would be to find someone to sew a custom sling/cover or alter one that they already sell to cover the seats. The problem with the covers they already sell is that they are just too small. They work for a trip to the vet or groomer but not a long road trip.
I now need to suck up about 100lbs of fur that had exploded on the inside of my truck.
I bought this from amazon. Works great , stretches between front seats. Well made.DOG BARRIER NET
If it's out of stock, there are several similar products on Amazon.

I have something like this to keep my GSD in the back and not climb up to the front to see what's going on up there. But I think OP is more looking for something to divide the back area into left/right sides.
