FE Build Ignition
I can read and watch as many videos as are available, but I would prefer the opinions of real people base on past experience. Just starting build, looking for suggestions on ignition system. Ready to run distributor vs distributor and ignition box combination. Mechanical vs Vacuum. Build is going into a 75 F-250. Have no intentions of using for regular truck purposes as I have a newer truck for that. This is simply a toy and my form of stress relief. I appreciate the help.

Unless the plan is a track only motor, for drag racing, there is no benefit to deleting vacuum advance. An engine that only and ever runs at full throttle has no use for vacuum advance, simply because it would never be employed. But, if you're going to drive on the street, then you want vacuum advance. It does not hurt performance.

Even drag racers run vacuum advance unless they have vacuum so low they can't. all street vehicles need it.
Most aftermarket ignition systems are junk. the Duraspark II has it's problems as well but it looks correct and it works as well as the imported garbage you can buy.
