Might be more than that. Lumber price has more than doubled in the last few months thanks to the irrational virus response.
There was also inland hurricane that rolled through Iowa, the news failed to cover it but the president deemed it a national disaster... That making lumber cost go up and irrational virus response is incorrect... my buddy owns a framing company and has been working 14 hour days 7 days a week since rates dropped because so many people are building homes...
Was at the dealer today talking new trucks. Last time I was there was march and they valued my truck at 38k. Right now it’s valued at 43k. Hard to believe. Thinking of trading in. Anyone else see there value jump up like this?
What was the year, model, trim, and miles on your truck? Asking for a friend.

I haven't checked, but would imagine that a similarly equipped truck would have an MSRP of $60,000 - $65,000? So you're looking at $15,000 - $20,000 out of pocket to get an identical truck with 38,000 less miles on it? Seems like a lot of $$$ for very little gain to me...

I bought this truck used so someone else took the big hit. I don’t need a diesel for what I do so I would rather have more options than more motor. I could get into a new truck for about 5k with fleet discounts that I have access to.
I just sold a 2016 jeep Wrangler Rubicon for 1500 more than I paid for it brand new. I did have about 7000 into it outside of the purchase price in a lift bumpers wheels and tires. But still, for a four-year-old vehicle I was shocked. And it was A dealer who contacted me and bought it from me
I have a 16 JKU rubicon with low mileage and i looked at kbb trade in at it stated it would get what I paid private party was 2-3k more. I have been thinking about selling as it’s a third vehicle but so far talked myself out of it.
Yeah, I could easily make a $6,000 to $7,000 profit on my truck but I ain't selling it. It's only got 4k miles on it and is the best truck I've ever owned. Plus I just spent $2,600 on new shoes for it.
Just got back from my dealer looking at a Silver Spruce KR and they appraised my truck with 35K on it for 50k and agreed to sell me a truck at X plan price.
Only thing that the 20' truck doesn't have is adaptive steering and hitch prep kit.. Really like both of those options so may have to locate another one..
I looked up my truck last week and KBB trade was 42 to 43k on my 13 F250 Lariat 6.2. With 35k miles . I only paid 47k new off the lot.
I wonder if anyone can get KBB trade in on a new truck right now.
Seems like it would be pretty tough right now with so low.
Nada values are closer but yeah. A couple of months ago, I still could've sold my 2019 F450 for $3k to $4k more than I paid out the door! The market is stupid right now.
Right, my local dealer wants to deal off MSRP.
So they have a Tuscany conversion out front ( lifted large wheels) based off of a 21 Lariat 6.7L and a sticker price of 98k on it. They’ed cut me a deal at 91k plus tax title and tags.
