I purchased a new 2020 King Ranch F350 today drove almost four and a half hours one way to get it and half way home I found that the lumbar in the front seats and the message does not work in either seat. After getting home I found that the sunroof, interior lights, and Home Link garage door opener does not work also. Has anyone else had this type of issue? I checked fuses and did not find any issues.
Add the bed view camera to the list of things that don’t work, I can’t even select it. It just toggles from front camera to tailgate camera. You would think the dealer would check things out before they sold a vehicle. I went over the exterior and interior with a fine tooth comb because that is usually where I find issues with new vehicles but never thought I needed to test every little thing on it.
Im sure thats disappointing on a brand new truck. With that many electrical issues sounds like it could be grounding or a large wiring harness connection. Good luck.
The're a battery management system that will shed non-essential loads like the ones you've listed. I had it kick in on my once, sounds like what you might be experiencing. If the batteries have been changed by an outside charger, it may need to be reset as well. in the PDF of the 2020 owner's manual it's pages 373-374.

just a suggestion, but make a good video of the problems that you’re having so that you can show it to the Ford manager when you do bring it in. That will help avoid issues if you bring the truck back and all of the sudden everything works fine when they look it over
Good point from manowell re: the bms. Might be your battery itself is the issue. Ford doesn’t put the strongest battery in their trucks. Plus, sometimes you just get a bad one.
Hopefully it’s a simple fix and five years from now you’ll look back and see this was the only issue you ever had with it.
I took it to the local dealer this morning they checked a few things but said they would need more time to figure it out, so I have an appointment next Monday. They got to see what all is not working so no need for video.
Keeps getting better and better just found that the drives side behind the rear fender is missing paint. I don’t know how I missed that. My last three trucks have been Ford Super Duty and have been almost perfect and now #4 is not off to a good start. I’m really considering going and getting my 2012 F350 back.
Dang! What a crazy oversight. Sorry for your troubles. I know it sucks to find issues with a brand new truck! I drove mine home just a few miles from the dealership after picking it up right before closing and when I got home I found a big dent in about the exact same spot where yours is missing the paint. Initially the dealer wanted to argue as to whether or not I ran something over on the way home, but the truck was spotless and there was no scuff marks anywhere, just a dent. So they said they would fix it but it would require repainting the entire side of the bed. I told him it wasn’t worth my paranoia of them screwing up the paint and not matching the rest of the truck properly. I also found that I couldn’t close the armrest in the backseat because the padding was too thick, and the number pad didn’t function properly on the drivers door. There is been a few other little hiccups over the past three years, and it’s currently leaking a tiny bit from the upper oil pan, but even with all the issues I’ve had, there still not another truck out there that I would rather have.
Hopefully you can get all this sorted out soon and start enjoying your truck!
I would be in love with the truck if it weren’t for the issues. It has a build date of 7/17/20 so I guess it is all the temp workers Ford hired to reopen the plant. The other bad part is I bought it from a dealer that is over 4 hours away and all they say is bring it to my local dealer and the local dealer is not that interested in looking at it in a timely manner because I did not buy it from them.
Relax.
My brand new GMC 2500HD dumped all of the tranny fluid onto the floor of my garage on day 1. I was thinking uh-oh...That was almost 5 years ago.
Dealer fixed a broken line the next day and it’s been flawless since.

No paint damage and only a dent? Ask them to have their paintless dent guy fix it. Today a had a mobile PDR guy come to my house and totally remove 2 dents. It was the same PDR guy the local Ford dealer uses. It took home a little over an hour and cost $150. The alternative was repaint the hood and fender.
Relax.

Electrical gremlins are a whole 'nother ball game compared to a mechanical failure or defect. OP could be chasing these for a while, could lead to a lemon law buy back, or the dealer can find a simple fix and the truck can be flawless afterwards.
Let the dealer do their thing thing and go from there.
My backup camera worked intermittently when I got my truck. It took the dealer 2 full days to locate a bad pin in a wiring harness under the truck. It's been fine since!
