Help. Electrical Problem
I'm hoping someone here can help me diagnose the problem. I searched the forum and didn't find a match.
Background info - 2004 Excursion - 6.8 V10 - Eddie Bauer Edition 4X4 - No changes/repairs in months - Battery and Alternator replaced about 12 months ago - No electrical issues until now. No hard acceleration or braking involved. Excursion is garage kept and stays out of heat/weather when not being driven.
It started a couple of days ago, randomly at both low speed and highway speeds. The ABS light appears and the AC blower slows down. After a minute or two, the ABS light turns off and the AC blower returns to normal. Today, at low speed, the ABS light appeared and stayed on. Within about 3 to 4 minutes, the headlights flickered, engine surged/loss of power, windows/door locks/radio quit working. I nursed it home and parked. Engine running at idle, no electrical components (other than gauges) seemed to work right. After about 10 minutes, the ABS light turned off and all electrical components worked fine, no issues.
