I got this tail light bracket off of a cart I dismantled. Can anyone tell me if it is a brand name part or homemade or aftermarket.
The cart had 1932 Chevy wheels and axle and leafsprings. So it could be a Chevy part. I already sold the axle. I think the spoked wheels are worth $80 or more. We'll see.
Are you sure it's a taillight bracket? Only one hole? I'm thinking it may have something to do with the stake sides. Carriage bolts look to be about 5/16" and the single hole about 3/8" - 7/16".
Thanks Bob and John. Here's a 32 I found with a rumble seat.
The bracket in question looks too plain or rough for a car step. But the round part looks like it took a round rubber pad. I live in a rural area. As we all know back then they used what was available. Who knows what vehicle they got it from.
Bingo! Charlie wins the chicken dinner. So the carriage bolts with the square nuts aren't original then. I was starting to think it came off of a manure spreader .........
Thanks for all the quick replies and pictures of 32 Chevys. I think it may be a step of some sort but not for a 32 Chevy. I don't think a tail light bracket for a flatbed or stakebed would have a round attaching point for the lamp.
