I have a 2020 with the remote tailgate operation. I installed a Retrax Pro to store equipment in the back but how do I lock the tailgate so that it cannot be opened?

Ummmmm, press the lock button on the door handle if you have Intelligent Access or, on the key fob after exiting the vehicle or enter your lock/unlock code via the keypad.
Just remember, if you have the key fob that allows you to just touch the door handle to unlock, it does the same with the tailgate, so if the key is in your pocket you will never think the tailgate is locked, as every time you try it it will unlock and open. To check if it really is locked, lock the truck then leave the keys in the house and go try it, it should be locked and stay locked then.
Tail gate should lock with the doors. My tailgate/doors can be locked by using the button on the drivers door, key fob ,or my phone.
My dad is finding the tail gate is almost always locked on his 19 F150. It’s kinda a pain in the butt. It seems like the tail gate locks any time the truck is put in drive, even if the doors don’t get locked. To open his tailgate you have to hit a unlock button just about every time. My 2020 F350 doesn’t do this. He has taken his truck back to the dealership for this and still tailgate is locked even though the doors aren’t.
