I have a Dennis carpenter gasket for wide chrome trim for my 76. Is this acceptable in the pics or get a different one? Rear one was perfect fit. Will this squeeze in right?
This one came in a set. All others fit great. Read about 50/50 on the dc windshield one. Anyone have part number for precision one? Seems like it gets good reviews
Yep they are a pita, best to tape it to glass and let it sit a few days. If not it keeps falling off when you try to install it. The trim also has to be installed before glass is installed into truck. Don’t ask me how I know, I used weed trimmer string to install glass worked good. Best to have two people and work your way around. Also want to have glass centered before you get to that last corner and it’s way off.
I could never tell what side was top or bottom? I just stuck it on and installed it. It never fit good on glass but once installed in truck it fit good and no leaks.
That won't work. you might need to turn it around maybe you have the top on the bottom. it should fit good all the way around. normally they have to be stretched onto the glass a little .
the Pro's say to use only Precision brand gaskets. I can't say that's true for sure but my precision gasket fit pretty good .
