Removing heads, Any Pointers
Well the last of the parts arrived to start removing the heads on my truck. The valve stem seals are leaking and my exhaust manifold studs are very bad. I can't even see where most are broken. Just hoping I can get them out and not have to get a reman head. There's also a small oil leak from the back of the engine.
I am going to go ahead and change the spark plugs and all the timing parts. Possibly a few other things that just need fixed.
Anyways, I'm going to start likely next weekend. Has anyone done this and have any pointers?
I changed the head gaskets on my 5.4 F150 years ago. It sucked but turned out well. Hoping this is a little easier, just heavier parts and some more head bolts.
Thanks in advance.
