Hi FTE Community so far I am impressed that some of you have made me feel very welcome in this forum and so I want to thank you for that. I plan to do many repairs and with some of your input I know I can do better than just on my own. As I mentioned I am working on a 66 Ford F250 Camper Special with my daughters. I'm in a wheelchair and have been for over 30 years so I'm pretty much use to my situation. I am blessed that I am not paralyzed and drive just about anything with my left foot that is the stronger of the 2 feet.. I've been collecting since I was 18 and have a nice small collection of cars that have landed in my lap along the way in my life. I've had this truck for a while and decided now with the corona ruining many activities it was a good way to spend time with my girls before they leave the nest. I will be posting as to the progress of the project and hope to get a lot of help along the way. Today i need your help decoding my Warranty Tag so that i can know exactly what the truck was born with and what has been modified or changed. Again thanks in advance. 66 F250 Warranty Plate
Here's the VIN portion of your warranty plate decoded. I'll do the other two lines in a bit. I need to extend my app to do the color, body, transmission and axle. Incidentally, it looks like the truck might have had a carb fire. Notice how the underhood paint is curling and a lot of black soot in the vicinity.
Here's the rest of the decode. The wheels are outies so they aren't stock but they look pretty good. I hope no surprises under the bed liner, but judging from a lack of overall rust through I suspect no issues there. *fingers crossed* for you.

M - Wimbledon White
F253 - F250 4x2 6,000 Lbs GVWR - not technically called out in MPC but same rating as 1967.
D81 - D = Medium beige crush vinyl and medium beige cody pattern woven plastic - 81 = 81B = Custom Cab
C - Ford Medium Duty 3-speed - either and HEG-Z or an HEG-AE originally.
thanks TA I really appreciate your help. How do I know if its a camper special? Also you mentioned that my wheels are outies. What wheels are correct for my year and do you have a picture. I was planning on just painting these semi gloss black and adding chrome trim rings and a chrome center cap. Any idea where i can get rings and center cap that will fir these rims. The only think I don't like about these wheels is that they are 16.5 which makes it hard and expensive to buy tires. Was thinking about switching to 16's to make it easier. The picture is of the front wheel.

There is nothing to identify a true Camper Special since it was just a bundle of options that could each be had separately. About the only thing is if there is a faded Camper Special emblem on the front fenders. No guarantee even then, but it's something. If yours is not 7500 GVWR then it wouldn't be, but if it is 7500 GVWR then it *could* have been.
I'm going to run some wheels that are essentially the same, except they are innies - meaning the hub cap retention nubs point inwards.
The originals were a 2-piece wheel if they were a 16" 8-lug.
Camper Specials did only come with either a 4-speed manual (floor shift) or an Automatic. The 3-on-the-tree wouldn't have come in a Camper Special either F100 or F250. Sometimes it is easier to determine what something wasn't than what it was...Also, in looking again at your data plate yours is a 6000 GVWR thus again not a F250 Camper Special since they were all rated at 7500 GVWR. But, don't let that throw you off track.
