Center Console Options

My 2002 has the center console with the VHS player and rear radio controls, which I'm sure were very fancy back in 2002, but I've replaced the stereo system entirely and never use the 4" dropdown screen for the video system. I'd like to replace the center console with one that doesn't waste all that space for the VHS system, and have no need for electronics, though a cigarette lighter power point or two would be handy. Has anyone found one that works well and still maintains the stock mounting and size of the original?

I'm not familiar with the location and components of the old school entertainment options in the EX, are you talking about the overhead center console or the floor mounted center console between the front seats?
The lower optioned rigs, like my '05 XLT plane Jane wagon have both the overhead and center floor consoles with none of the once fancy entertainment options, heck mine doesn't even have the Lie-O-Meter!

Sorry, I mean the on-the-floor between-the-front-seats console. It's super awesome for grainy home recordings and if you have binoculars you can even see the screen from the back row. The drop-down screen really is a joke. It's like the size of a modern cell phone.
