I have a 1992 F-150 swapping out the 302 to 351w.
my question is will shorty headers mate up to the stock exhaust? I've been looking at some less expensive headers. As I blew my budget on the engine build and swap.

BTW.. the Y pipe only needs about 1" extra width and the easy way to do it is to cut right where it loops under the engine/trans and add the section there. You could also source a factory 5.8 Y pipe from the JY if on a tight budget, I believe the 5.8 version uses a little bigger diameter tube as well.
