im not sure of the wheel bore size on my truck. Would anyone know what it is? I did search for a bit, but came up empty.
is it safe to assume that if the wheel manufacturer is selling 5 x 5.5 bolt pattern wheels that it’s made for Ford truck and will just fit?
I see 4.250, I see 3.250. I also see 83 and 87mm.
Please excuse my wording, should I have used center Bore Diameter? The wheels I am looking at are a bore size of 87.10 mm
I believe the Ford truck center bore is 3 inch. It's hard to find wheels that are made specifically for Fords. Most of the aftermarket wheels have Dodge center hole size and it is a lot bigger. Rocket Racing and a few others make wheels that actually fit the way they are supposed to. It doesn't make that much difference if you have steel wheels and hub caps or center caps to hide the mismatch but if you are running bare wheels it looks a little rednecky with those big Dodge size holes. Also you loose the extra support of having the center hole the correct size.
