Yes I've searched. I've unplugged all the things that have been suggested as possibly being wrong. After unplugging the 2 switches on the master cylinder, the parking brake switch, and the switch on the brake pedal, and leaving them all unplugged, the brake light on the dash is still lit and preventing the cruise control from working. What else is there that could be triggering the light to be on.
You have a worn spot in the wiring that is allowing it to back feed the light. You can try removing some of fuses for the lighting and see if one of them turn of the light. Then you would have a good idea of which circuit to chase. I would check the wiring around the parking brake really well. It may also have a bad section of wiring
Did you get the recall switch put on that's on the master cylinder? I did and after a few years it would knock the cruise off. I bought another one and its still in my parts bag because I found that zip tie it down did the trick. Every once in awhile I'll hit a bump and it will knock my cruise off. One of these days I'll put the new one on. lol
There is also a low pressure switch in the vacuum circuit that will trip the light if the vacuum is low. If the brakes are not bled properly, the valve that is below the master cylinder in the frame rail ( can't think of the proper name right now) can set the dash light also.
