Saw these for sale today. Description says they are nicked somewhere pictured. Would these be good for an FE build I'm planning or should I wait to find a undamaged pair?
I saw a few normal casting flaws, but didn't see the nick. But the description threw up my paranoia antenna...."Fully fictional price" Wth is that?!?!
Contact the seller.
When I see wierd non-sequitar language like that or statements that don't match photos, I usually assume it's a fake listing and move on. Couldn't hurt to contact lister as previously suggested.
At second glance, there's no bargain there. Far from it. Over $1K for a set of unassembled cylinder heads. You still gotta buy valves, rocker studs, and pushrod guides. Then unless you're equipped to do it, you have to pay a shop to fit the valves and valve guides.
I just looked at the list and it definitely feel like they copied someone else's listing. I'm curious to hear what the seller's response is. Pretty sure scammers have software to pull photos and generate descriptions automatically now. They get pretty close sometimes, but there is always that one head-scratcher in there.

But then, this is ebay, and the seller has plenty of feedback. Man, I don't know....
I would be more concerned about the port job... Someone got to happy grinding near a few valve guides and there is at least one intake port that looks cautiously thin near a water jacket.
