optimal sensors reading

Hi

i'm interested in learning more about various sensors and the range of values the readings have to be at for the machine to be performing optimally.

Is there any resources available (say a table) online that shows what the range of values the (live) readings should be?

Does anyone have the PID values for ford excursion? specifically the typical reference values as shown in this post (but for other models): https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...meter-ids.html

you didnt say gas/diesel, the Good - a lot of the OBDII scan tools are able to record live data, for a myriad of sensors, the Bad - your pocket book being the only limiting factor, Troubleshoot my vehicle, has a few for gas motors

After a long deliberation and research, I'll embark on a project to build an obd scanner while delving into a bit (hopefully!) of software
I would probably look more into all the engine functions, or at least those essential ones, and the parameters involved for reverse engineering. If you have the 6.8L or any of the diesel bin files, you're welcome to send'em to me. I'm guessing they use the intel 8065 microprocessor, correct me if i'm wrong!
