I am starting on a 49 for my son and I was looking for a different frame. I would like to have an uncut stock frame that i can build from stock to what i want it to be. We purchased the truck and it has already been subframed but no mounting for radiator support or no frame horns for bumper. I was wondering is their differences between the 48-50 and the 51-52 frames? Or will 48-52 all interchange? Thanks.
AFAIK, there are no differences in the F1 frames from 48-52 with the exception of the front motor mount loops on the 52 which were revised to accommodate the new OHV 6 cylinder engine. They had an adapter stand that went on the loops for V8 applications that would also work for the 226 flat 6. If you're planning an engine swap to anything else, none of this matters.
I was thinking they would all be close. I have been thinking about TCI or Fatman Fab. I have wanted to change my 55 over to a TCI chassis for a long time. I was thinking of stock frame with either going to mustang 2 or crown vic and changing to TCI rear suspension and maybe a 9" By the time I do all that though I would probably be well into half or more of new roller.

I have a stock 48 frame that has been modified with an old Industrial Chassis Dodge Dakota IFS, their multi-tube center cross member and a CCP parallel leaf rear suspension with a Johns 9 Inch custom housing. The frame is boxed from the front all the way back to the rear shock cross member. It might have been cheaper for me to get the TCI frame and have Steve at Industrial Chassis install his parts on it. Steve is now at Phoenix Hot Rod Company and they just moved their shop to a new location In Tempe. They will be doing Dodge Dakota IFS again once they get set up. Steve Szymanski is the best chassis guy I know in Arizona.
If you have trouble finding a good stock F-1 frame, you might consider an F-2 or F-3 frame which may be easier to find. They are made of heavier metal, relatively easy to shorten, and less likely to have been modified.

I have a paper from Ford on how they recommend to shorten a frame. Now to just find it.
