Hi all,
Can someone please provide some guidance on how I can test to see if my compressor is bad? I don't want to throw more parts at it without confirming the issue.
- Low and high side static pressure is 50PSI (with vehicle off), and while running and set to max AC the low side is 20-40 and high side is 75-100PSI. Ambient temp at time of measuring was 68 degrees F.
- The compressor cycles on and off rapidly, so at first I thought low side pressure gauge, but that didn't work so now I'm pretty sure it's the compressor??
- What I already did: evacuated the system and it held a vacuum so no leaks. Changed low side pressure gauge and attempted to re-charge it (through low side of course), but when the pressures didn't change from above readings out of fear of over-charging I closed valve.
