Hey guys, i just broke the trans dipstick in my 1990 Ford Econoline 350. I have read a number of posts & i sure hope numberdummy is still around...although i'm sure one of you can help me. I will start with the dipstick number in case you don't want to read the rest of this post.
DIPSTICK# - E8UP-7A020-BA
You may want the tranny number. I have not been able to find the plate per all of your suggestions...i did find a stamping # but i'm afraid it's just what you guys call the case.
TRANNY/CASE# - E7TP-7006-CA
Here's what i do know. It's the 5.7L, no AC, automatic transmission, no overdrive, i think 3 speed (if that's based on a D,1,2 on the selector) if not than yep...i'm blond))
I'm afraid you're going to tell me it's both obsolete & unavailable. The good news is that i still have it, it broke right below that riveted on plate thingy that attaches to the handle. I guess worse case scenario i could maybe have someone weld it up...although maybe they can't be welded. Any help would be appreciated, i just signed up & i hope i'm not breaking any forum rules - so far i haven't been able to find if i'm supposed to pick a certain area of this forum to post, so i apologize in advance if I've already screwed up my first post.
Thank you everyone, i can't wait to get my first reply))

Numberdummy, I probably shouldn't reply here since this thread has been moved to an appropriate spot...but - you are right, it's gotta be tough when you're the best at something and so many people count on you, especially since after how ever many years you've been doing this it's probably getting old. There are a bunch of good people on here that try to help, but it's funny (and I know I speak for pretty much everyone), when i do get or see a response from you, I never question it hahahahaha. I wish you the best numberyummy!
