I’m almost at a 100k with my 2019 and really dont see any reason to go to a 2021 unless there are major upgrades. Are we anticipating any major changes for 2021? I like the f150 new interior and hope that is on the way for the superduty. Also the onboard generator/inverter thing is great as I carry a 2200 watt in the truck now. Wonder if we will get that or is it just a byproduct of the hybrid f150.

No idea if or when Pro Boost will be offered in a SuperDuty but does appear you can get 2kw in a non-hybird F150.
The more I think about it they would have to address idling in the 6.7 for the inverter. Curious how they would address that.
Probably just a fast idle like now and the owner will have to live with the aftermath of extended idling. I'd really rather have a separate power unit to save the trucks engine.
ETA. Do you pull a hot shot to have that many miles on a 2019 already?

I’m not sure that a high speed idle is really detrimental to the engine. I’d think if it’s enough to keep the engine at operating temp, it would be ok.

I got a crap ton of idle hours and my regens stay the same. Idling doesn’t put a lot in the dpf. I will run the high idle in winter sometimes to help keep fuel out of oil.
I doubt a 23 redesign will be anything more than another Ford famous refresh. From 1999 to 2016, Ford ran 6 redesigns, a few new interior changes..complete with spy pics....but still using the same cab and box throughout. If there is a true refresh in 23’, I’ll be all over it. Expect a new grille and interior in 23, but the same cab/box design.
I was just hoping sync 4 would come out in place of old tech for the 21. My 17 6.2 is starting to have the long crank issue. Also with used values so high it would be nice to make a deal on my truck (sacrificing a little because of 4 month delivery) and still making out. Covid has affected a lot and you should take advantage of the positives.
Well dang,I was hoping for the new f150 interior in 21... That sucks... Now I dont know what to do as I need to trade for for tax purposes and have already held out...
Are the changes just in paint?
Rut, it could still happen. The 150 and SD are the same cab. If it doesn’t and you really want the new interior, nothing wrong waiting to get what you want.
Taxes? I depends on your thoughts. IMO, Write offs aren’t always the way to go. It’s also smart to just pay the tax bill, keeping the cash and investing it until you get what you want.
MY2023 will be the big year because every brand will change. Refresh with new interiors and front clips for Super Duty, Silverado HD, and Sierra HD - and an all-new Ram HD.
