Disc Brake Hardware

I have a '71 F250 with factory disc brakes. When I ordered the hardware kit to redo the brakes, a couple parts are there that I have questions about. In the picture, the blue circled item, does it need any lubricant of any kind or does the caliper bolt just go in dry? For the orange circled item, where does that go? I don't see anything like it on my system so I don't know if they're just a part for a different model or if my truck was missing that part all together.

You will be a mile ahead with a new set of calipers.

thanks, I looked at those and the one part does appear to be from the later serial number (mine is a L series serial), but then i seem to she missing the rubber grommet that would go in the back of the caliper bracket. Unless I’m supposed to take the groomer out of the metal sleeve to be used on the lower serial numbers?

I did just that. I took the rubber out of the metal sleeve. The brakes work great. If you have the money...get another set coming or have your current set rebuilt. NAPA does it at $62 a caliper.

The calipers on mine seem fine, it’s just that rubber grommet that was in the mounting plate that I’m trying to figure out. In the front side has that metal basket inserted and the bad had some rubber inserted, but that’s all I’ve been able to determine this far.
