I know we have discussed this before, but been awhile. Has anyone found an aftermarket Trans Dipstick for the '19 and newer 6R100? I have had a '19 f250, 6.2 for almost 2 years, thought someone would be producing one by now?
6R80 or 6R140. 6R80 has the dipstick plug screwed into the case, remove it and check with the enclosed dipstick. 6R140 uses a standard dipstick. Never heard of a 6R100, and have been a transmission builder for 36 years, maybe missing something, LOL.
The 6R100, aka the TorqShift G, is a lighter-duty six-speed AT introduced by Ford in MY2017 for the Super Duty F250 6.2; see specs below. My understanding is the 6R100 is a derivative of the ZF 6HP.
The "6R100", which is never called that in the trade, is a gas engine 6R140 with fewer clutches and a different converter.
The 6R60/75/80 is Fords licensed version of the ZF6HP26. Nothing interchanges but basically the same setup.
Hope this clears some stuff up, thanks.
My '19 f250 only has the short dipstick down on the side of the Trans, It is very difficult to get too with a hot catalytic converter, also will be a PIA to refill after draining for a change. I know there is aftermarket dipsticks for the f150 6R80, waiting for one for the f250. I think length would be an issue using the f150 unit on a f250.

As far as refilling, I had a similar issue on a past 150. I ran a hose to the hidden dipstick fill port up to the engine bay where I had a funnel. Couple zip ties to make sure everything stayed put and I was able to slowly refill the tranny. A bit of a pain, but the best way I could get it done without a transfer pump.

We have the gas version (“P”) of the 6R140 in our gas F350; the Diesel got the “W” version.
The 2019 Ford Super Duty owner manual lists three AT codes for the 2017-2019 pickups, including an “S” code for the 6R100; see below.

Yeah, that's what I did to flush and refill my 2016 Passat, PIA. Had to block whole car up keep it level and get under it and to get an accurate final level. I really need a lift, or start trusting Dealers to do the job right, and that is not gonna happen. Looks like may not see an aftermarket dipstick for my '19 f250 if Ford is fazing out the 6sp for the 10sp. I would like to hear if anyone has solved the issue of have a dipstick in the motor compartment.

The 6r100 is also based on the ZFHP26 and shares nothing with the 6R140. Its used in F-250 6.2 applications only from 2017+.
Ford isn’t phasing out the 6R100 TorqShift-G just yet. It’s still the standard transmission in the 2020 F250 with the standard 6.2 gas V8. To get the new 10-speed AT in a 2020 F250, you have to order the optional 7.3 gas or 6.7 Diesel.
Of special note, the transmission is also part of the Optional Gas HD Payload Package offered for the F350 Regular Cab 4x2 pickup, both the SRW and the DRW; see info below.
Maybe a little off topic since the majority of talk in this thread is about the 6 speed, but does anyone know the procedure to check the level in the 10R140?

The 2020 OM states the automatic transmissions are “filled for life” and that the level can’t be checked.

It is in the service guide, I am not able to upload it currently. Its the same procedure as the 10r80 and the 6r100. I will say unlike the Mercon LV do not use any shared fluid containers, funnels or filling devices with Mercon ULV. Also be warned Mercon ULV is poisonous and must be handled differently than previous fluids. It also will soften your skin just like lye based degreaser.

Nice. I'm sure a cloth mask will provide the necessary protection.
