Wheels, Offset, Size does it matter?
I am looking at buying Fuel 20x12 wheels and the common offset in that size is ~ -44 so my question is how does that look on a truck?
And will that amount of offset cause havoc for my hubs/ ball joints etc.?
Also probably putting 35x12.5 tires to match.
I’m not looking for a crazy “stance” but I do want it to have some offset!
I hit the 4x4 beach fairly often so I’m dealing more with sad than mud on most occasions!
And with that amount of lift, is that about the biggest tires I “should” fit under there?
Thanks for the help!
Y’all have saved me thousands of $$$$ in repairs because of your wealth of information! Hope someday I can help out too!

You can check out their gallery with trucks with a similar set up to yours, to see how it might look.
I don't have any affiliation with that website, so if there is something there that offends you, please don't take that out on me! (Its happened before on another forum site...)
As for any anticipated wear and tear, any time you change the offset of the wheel, you do run the risk of premature wear. You are loading the wheel hub bearing, ball joints and steering components in a manner that it was not engineered to. Having said that, I don't think that its going to cause it to break the minute it starts to move either. Just keep an eye on it as you would any component on the truck and it should be fine.
