What is the best header back exhaust systems I can buy? I cant really find any and wanna see what you guys have or Ill just fab my own I guess... :/ I heard hooker headers are pretty good anyone have recommendations for headers too?
I don't know that anybody makes a "header back" exhaust system for these trucks. If you're going to buy long tubes, Flowtech, JBA, Hedman, and Pacesetter are all decent budget brands. I have used Hedman, Pacesetter, and Flowtech personally with no issues. I have a set of Hooker 6912HKR headers hanging up on my wall because they wouldn't fit anything I tried them on. Passenger side is way into the frame rail, driver's side swings way into the driveshaft.
As far as replacement Y-pipes, the Bassani offroad Y pipe is pretty well regarded. Probably be far cheaper to have a local shop fabricate a full exhaust, if you don't have the capability to do it yourself.
Found a pair of flowtech headers for $120, the guy said he bought it for an 88 F250 4WD but I have a 96 F150 4WD. I wouldnt think they would be a big difference but that is 8 years apart so I was wondering if anyone else knew exactly. Thanks guys.
