Dropping the truck off tomorrow at the dealer, have had DW 4 times the past week and constant steering oscillation. Also have a loose feeling/tapping feeling in the steering wheel... also finally getting the fuel pump fixed and evap canister Fixed. Wish me luck.
Will keep everyone up to date, also it’s a 2017 250 6.2 42k miles... I‘m hoping they can get the front end figured out, this was an issue about 12k miles ago. Fixed it, and now it’s back already... told the sale manager who has sold me and my family all our cars/trucks since I was a kid to appraise it while it’s in.. might be time for an upgrade.
Almost been a week, no update. Truck is still at the dealer. Drove by this weekend and the truck is sitting outside. Called them 2 times last week for updates and never got a call back.
Those front ends never get fixed for good. They require a lot of regular maintenance to keep in good condition. I've had two of 'em. 12K is about what you'll get between going through it and replacing worn parts.

Very frustrated with all of this, I’ve got 2 buddies with 17+ SDs... 1 has had this issue 1 time and has about 80k on the fix... my other buddy has about 140k never had a single issue truck drives like a Cadillac. Mine on the other hand is constant. All 3 of them are 6.2s only difference being mine is a XL while 1 of theirs is a Lariat and the other is a XLT. I borrowed my buddies truck over the weekend to haul some gravel, and was mind blown with how badly mine actually drives.
Just curious - when they fixed it 12,000 miles ago, did the issue disappear and then slowly come back? What did they change out back then?
This may sound simplistic, but have you looked at your tires/rims? Are the tires original? An easy test to possibly rule them out is just swap the fronts to the rears snd see if you notice any difference. If you put winter tires on (not sure where you live), is the problem still there?
Good luck. These types of issues can be frustrating.

when this was fixed the first time, the culprit was a bad tie rod and drag link if I remember correctly. I just got brand new tires, they’re cooper pro 35x1250r20s... have the stocks and there is no different on any variation of tires, little smoother (barely) with the stock tires on than the stts. This thing has been in the dealership and alignment shop about 15-20 times in the past 20k miles not exaggerating either. Caster mad 0 difference, new track bar nothing, ball joints nothing, U joints nothing, stabilizers nothing, shocks, tires, different offsets, nothing... the drag link and tie rod made a big difference, but not exactly sure if it was just a lot better or fixed to be 100% honest. Since about 25-30k miles this thing is not fun to drive at all, everyone always asks me why I only drive my 01 ranger... it’s because my 2017 is a POS... never been off-roading, baby the hell out of it, and nothing but problems.

I’ve gotta agree here, too many people have these trucks with no issues... the DW/front end issues population is a lot smaller than most think, it’s just us that are vocal... how often are people gonna post a thread about another day without DW. It still is frustrating for us that do have to deal with this though... very... very frustrating. Also, what fixed mine last was adjusting the toe in on my truck... the drag link and tie rod end came after that and helped a little. Been in the shop so many times hard for me to remember exactly what’s going on.

Wrong! These front ends are not setup properly from the factory. My truck has almost 50k on it with zero dw experience and no worn parts. Mine is bone stock too. Ford needs to figure this out, why some do and most don't.

I don't think there is enough quality in their manufacturing to get a consistently good product out of these front ends. They're obviously a suboptimal design that requires a good deal of knowledge to get setup correctly.
I have 79,000 miles on my 2017 CCSB 6.7 and just replaced the front shocks. All other front end parts are original. Run stock Michelin tires on 20s. Lots of fairly light towing (less than 5K) and highway miles. Never had death wobble and it tracks straight as an arrow. I am amazed at the variation in the these trucks considering the problems that others have had and can't get fixed.
Well, today called again to get an update on the truck had to leave a message again with no call returned... talked to the sales manager who I know well he said “I’ll make sure he calls back and gets you taken care of”... no word... that’s 4 calls, and a text with no word back. Am I asking to much to get an update on my truck that’s been in the shop for over a week?
