So I got some time today to pull the pump. Once I got the cover off the gear. I took a carbide scribe to mark where I was. You can see in the right bottom of the gear. So I pulled the gear out, cleaned it up then counted up seventeen teeth on both sides and used a marker to use as reference for the install. The scribe I put on the gear was up at the 18th tooth, so if the info I had about 17 teeth is correct I was off a tooth. So looking to make sure I was lining up the gear correct, I wanted to check the cam gear for it's mark. My mirror was too thick to fit between the block, then I remembered that for some reason I saved some hard drive discs. So if you ever need a super thin mirror, take a old hard drive apart and use the disc. I have some pics that I took while in the process of taking it apart. Putting it back together tomorrow. I'll report on how it runs. just in case you didn't know how much of the gear is exposed. scribe mark lower right 17 teeth both ways from center. You can see the scribe mark clear on the right. Fancy new mirror. Put a zip tie or something on it so you don't drop it in the motor.
