While clicking banner ads today in an attempt to get PCO popups, I noticed that the SuperDuty Overview webpage now has a new section near the top regarding Custom Ordering.
This has a link to the regular old Build&Price section, and a link to webpages on what and how to Custom Order. https://www.ford.com/custom-order//#6
Most of the answers in the FAQs section are "Please see your dealer." LOL
I had never seen this Custom Ordering page before, and think I would have noticed since I just placed a custom order. I wonder if Ford is now really pushing ordering in the new climate of everyone staying home???
I did see that a while ago a month before I ordered. Actually it may have been a few months ago.
I didn't want to use it because I wanted to make sure my order would do through and at the price I had figured out.
What seems new is the prominent mention at the top of the SuperDuty Overview webpage. Then when you go to the Custom Order link it talks about what vehicles you can special order and how. Its link to the Build&Price page seems the same as ever. So they are really encouraging people to use the Build & Price and get a link before going to the dealer.
