I sometimes carry a truck camper on an older SD F350 DRW chassis cab. Will likely upgrade to a newer ride before long and making plans for new flatbed.
I found a body builder's guide for 2020 chassis cab, and from reading the specs, it looks like the cabs are now 2" taller than early SDs?!?
For those that used the same truck camper on an older SD, did you find that you lost cab/camper clearance with new truck? Although I'm buying another chassis cab, I'm going to guess the cabs dimensions are the same...
Also: when did Ford start using same cab for F150 and SD?
FWIW I previously had a 2004 F250SD Super Cab that my 2019 Arctic Fox Camper only sat on a rubber truck bed mat ( approx 1/2" ). Currently have a 2019 Ford F350SD Crew Cab and I only need the same rubber truck bed mat. Both trucks are longbed. I was worried if I would have to raise the camper to fit the truck, but didn't. Good luck.
I believe it was when Ford introduced the all-aluminum body Super Duty in MY2017.

I believe 2017 is correct. Can't say for all camper manufacturers, but I believe it was the 2018 Lance Campers(their model year began 03-01-2017) that they added a basement and higher clearance, along with making the climb into the cab over bed easier for the older folks. On my 96 I have 8" of clearance from cab to the bottom of the cab over. On the 2011, I have nearly the same clearance measured to the top of the cab. Subtract a little from that for the clearance lights that are on the 2011.
