Hi all,
I've got a '63 F250- long time project. I'm in the middle of building a 460/C6 for it, and was wondering- how hard would it be to put the body on an 80's f250/350 frame that already has the cross members/ mounts for it? I'm also looking to gain front discs, which would be a huge plus. Anyone done a frame swap on a long box truck? I'm looking to keep it.
It could be done but you would need to modify the wheelbase on the newer chassis to match your 63 and I don't think any of the body mounts will line up. It's not a bolt on swap that's for sure. Besides the mounts and wheelbase, newer frames get wider in the mid and rear sections and the hump over the rear axle is higher.
