What gear ratio are people running with 40” tires to get back to stock?

Well what rear axle do you have? Lots more choices available for the 10.5 Sterling than the M275 or M300.

dunno about 40" but I'm running 6.18 with 42" Continentals MPT 81 335/80 R20

34.1/39.75 for 14% x 3.31= 3.77 (2020)
33.3/39.75 for 16% x 3.31 = 3.84 (2019)

Thats the the diesel math. I would run some 4.10 or 4.30 if it was mine.
