Buyback approved
Du to the pandemic they are short staffed and it will take about 2-3 weeks before they produce the official buybck worksheet with dollar numbers.
My preference is a similarity equipped replacement truck. Since it was originally Special Ordered I can't find anything in stock that matches so I will need to special order a replacement. If Ford can get me final numbers in the next week or so It will be a 2020. If not then I will have to wait until 2021 order backs open up
Here is the email I received from Ford acknowledging the buyback.
---------------------
Thank you for taking the time to speak to me today regarding your 2019 Ford F350. This correspondence serves as a confirmation that Ford Motor Company will offer to repurchase or replace your vehicle under the terms of Florida lemon law.
Option One: Repurchase
· Ford Motor Company [FMC] will pay off your current lienholder after the vehicle is surrendered.
· You will be reimbursed for any down payments and payments, minus usage, negative equity, late fees, aftermarket contracts, items, or accessories (if they don’t fall within the refund).
· Any payments made on the vehicle that are not included in the Repurchase figures will be refunded once the buyback is complete.
· You will remain responsible for any loan payments until the buyback is complete.
· If you choose to accept the Repurchase Option, a private offer will be provided to you which will allow for a discount on a new Ford vehicle (exclusions apply), if you choose to purchase another.
Option Two: Replacement
· Ford Motor Company [FMC] will pay off your current lienholder after the vehicle is surrendered.
· You will pick out a new Ford vehicle.
(It does not have to be the same model, however it does need to be a new vehicle)
· You will remain responsible for the current loan balance, usage, and upgrade charges.
· If your vehicle is New, the upgrade cost would be the difference between the MSRP of your current vehicle and the new vehicle.
If your vehicle is Pre-Owned, the upgrade cost would be the difference between the base price of your current vehicle and the memo invoice of the new vehicle.
Option three: Substitution of Collateral
This option is only available if your lender supports this type of transaction. You will keep your current loan and everything regarding your loan will remain the same. Same payments, same due date, same everything. You will pick out a new Ford that is the same model you currently have and we would basically be swapping VIN#’s on the loan. You will be responsible for any usage, upgrade charges, and other out-of-pocket amounts. These amounts will be paid at the time of surrender in certified funds. There is no payoff associated with a substitution.
To reiterate our earlier conversation, in order to present you with a formal offer, Ford Motor Company will require the following documents:
- A copy of both the vehicle’s current registration, and the front and back of your title (if in your possession)
- A copy of the bill of sale and/or finance contract for your vehicle
- A copy of the driver’s license of all titled owners
- A written payoff statement from your lienholder which includes the following information: A 10 day payoff amount including a daily interest rate (per diem), account number, collateral information, and overnight payoff address
- A payment history from your lienholder, detailing the payment amounts, and the amounts going to principal and interest
- A written payoff statement from your lienholder which includes the following information: A 10 day payoff amount including a daily interest rate (per diem), account number, collateral information, and overnight payoff address
- A copy of the driver’s license of all titled owners
- A copy of the bill of sale and/or finance contract for your vehicle
- If you are interested in seeing a replacement offer, please let us know the VIN and the location (dealership) of the vehicle you might be interested in.
Please return the above information to me via fax at (877) xxx-xxxx with an attention note or by email at xxxaxxx.com
. Once this information is received, I can begin to formulate your formal offer. Please note that supplying Ford Motor Company with the requested documentation does not obligate you to accept any offer. You will have a chance to review the offer and ask any questions before you make a decision.
I am looking forward to working with you in order to resolve this situation. If you have any questions or concerns, please call me at 989-xxx-xxxx though email is preferred
Sincerely,
xxxxxxxxx Repurchase Coordinator

Dont even try to find a replacement truck as most dealers hate the idea of turning over a truck they have in stock over to Ford in a case like this. In fact, 3 different dealers flat out refused in my case. Worked out to my advantage though as Ford finally gave me permission to order. You will receive credit on your old truck for sales tax. But most likely you will still be required to pay DOC fees.
Even when I ordered the truck the receiving dealer did not want to deliver it. Told me it was a waste of time for the money Ford paid them.

Ditto!!!
18 F150 with ten speed and 5.0. Trans had awful
drive ability and they admitted. Same exact thing , process, dealers, refusal, you name it, happened. I was very judicious in where I bought my 250 from this time around.
Done. Thanks for pointing that out.

There isn’t a similar truck in stock within 500 miles of us. I have currently and want a Lariat with most options except a moonroof. It must have 6.7L, Ultimate pkg, Adaptive Cruise, Adaptive Steering LED headlights, Heated steering wheel w/rain sensing wipers, tow cameras w/pro trailer assist, power running boards, FX4, 3.55 e-locker, 5th wheel prep, Roof Clearance lights, Upfitter sw, Garage door opener. Etc. It also must be magnetic, stone grey of star white. NO BLACK, BLUE OR RED.

The current sales manager at the original dealership doesn’t seem to have an issue ordering a replacement.
With Ford dragging their feet it may be too late to order a 2020 so I may need to wait for 2021 order bank to open. That wouldn’t upset me.
The RAV guy said if I go order process he would close the case and reopen it once the replacement is on the dealer lot. He said usage fee will be locked so miles I continue to put on will not be charged. He will put that in writing.
Usage fees are not cheap. (9605miles/120000) x $74015 or $5,924 before negotiations. MSRP Difference is about $3,500 so for $9,424 I could get a 2 year upgrade.
The sales tax on the original sale was only $1001 because I traded in a 2017 which reduced the sales tax would have been $3,300 more had I purchased it outright with no trade.
More importantly, the new truck is 18 months old and no issues other than a weird clunk somewhere in the chassis on occasions.
After a 5 week wait Ford RAV team finally sent me the buyback offer letter. MSRP was $74,015 and usage fees calculated at $5,200.
When I called my dealer to inquire about pricing a replacement they informed me that they already placed a special order for a 2020 equipped like my 2019 after I talked to the sales manager 5 weeks ago. That was a surprise.
MSRP difference is $3,200. So for $8,400 I will get a replacement truck with 3 yr warranty and zero miles. Ford will pay all doc fees, taxes registration cost. etc. I’ll be responsible for usage fee and MSRP difference.
The new truck has a vin assigned but no production date yet.
