Hate to betray my ignorance but... here goes.
2001 F250 6.8 V10 locked up at idle. Done, 133K miles. Tried dragging it with the tow truck no rotation.
Pulled the engine, had the heads gone through, lined it all up again with the right tools. Replaced the timing chain, sprockets, guides, tensioners, NAPA. Fought through all the issues of a repair long stalled and fired it up and started KOER Scan test. Codes associated with bad fuel, idled up to temperature at the shop... Turned it off, and now it's locked up again. I tested the rotation at each step of re-assembly. I'm ready to grab an old 460... Thoughts? I'm taking it apart again. What's this VCT and is it eating my bagel? Busy Place
