I have a 2019 6.7 with 45,000 miles now. Last oil change (37,500) i noticed the coolant was a little low in the reservoir. I topped it off and havent worried about it again. When I changed my oil today, I noticed it is low again. I dont smell antifreeze or see any signs of it leaking. Anybody else come across this?
The system doesn't consume coolant. You can lose a very small amount from evaporation, but not enough for you to have to add coolant. It would seem you have a leak. You don't make any useful quantity references, like, say a pint or cup of coolant or how long in time and miles between the last topping up and where it is today. If it's something like a cup over a year or around 10k miles then the leak might be too small to find. A cup per month loss could show up as deposit evidence elsewhere on the engine or maybe even the heater core.
One of the first things I did with my truck is to black mark both degas bottles with the cold coolant level as it left the factory. I poured a bottle of dye in each tank. That way I would have an absolute baseline reference and the dye might make it easier to find a leak.
In your case, if the loss is very slight, get some dye and add it to the tank. It may help down the road.
