I don't know what it's called, but I know what it is. It looks like it had a crack in it for a while. I hope it broke while at an extremely slow rate of movement.

Yes, I was fortunate. Steering arm. Ford part#C8TA-3146-B.hunting one down now..,....

Thats the correct part, where did the C8 part number come from? The E2 will fit up to 1986.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

This is a 1982 ID engineering number. I have no way to cross it to a part number, because this number isn't listed in the 1980/89 Ford Heavy Truck Parts Catalog.

Call Green Sales and ask them...800-543-4959.

No fix on that steering arm (some knuckleheads think anything, everything can be "welded") - Ford recommends no fix attempt even if that steering arm is just "bent". Replacement only and limit the ft lbs to 220-300 on those 1-14 threads (both nuts).............I believe the part is identical across all front end ratings (lbs)....

Thank you. I'm one of those knuckleheads,grew up in a blacksmith shop, grandfather.. I won't be arrogant.
