Different year, same part?

Different year, same part?
I'm looking for a lsteering shaft for my 88 4x4 f250, and I found one online for a better price than all the other ones, but it said for a 92 though 98, and was wonder if that would fit an 88 so I could save a couple dollars, of not could anyone point me in the right direction on where to get one?

not sure its right, but check this, lists part #, 1A auto, and carid, say they have it, they give the length, extended(26"), compressed(21")
