So I am replacing the radio and taking off the dash front panel. All the air controls and radio ***** came off fine but I can't figure out how to get the lights and washer **** off.
i am sure it is simple but I don't want to force things are end up breaking it. Any help?
The Windshield wiper **** should just pull off. To get the **** out of the headlight switch, there is a button on the top of the enclosure you will have to press and pull the **** out at the same time. For the headlight switch, the entire shaft will come out with the ****. The button to press is the one furthest from the dashboard, you should be able to reach under the dash to get to it.
For the light switch, you'll need to reach up under the dash and feel around the actual switch until you find a button to push. Push the button and pull the ****, and it will come out with the shaft. You can poke it back in enough to turn off the lights, without it locking in place.
The wiper **** comes off by itself. There is a metal clip holding it. Stick a knife or flat screw driver behind the **** and pull it toward you and the **** will come right off. You might need to try on top of the shaft, below the shaft, and to the left and right of the shaft till you find the right part of the clip. Only one side of the the clip will release the ****.
This kind of shows the clip. You want to press the D-shaped part into the **** to release it. It doesn't look like it from the picture, but a knife or flat screw driver behind the **** should be able to push it back enough to release it. From the looks of the **** in the picture, you would need a pick or pointed object to stick into that slot, to contact the clip.
There is a little slot on the top of the windshield ****, Use a hook/pick to pull a little locking tab forward to release the ****. It is similar to how the climate control ***** are held on.
Also, when you remove the light ****, your lights will be ON. (unless of course you disconnect the batt.)
just a quick fyi, those little orange-handled hook sets Harbor Freight periodically sells for a buck or two have got to be some of the most useful tools you can buy...

No doubt. I pick up a set about everytime I go in there. Don't care if I break or lose them.
