Vin decoder?

Hello, I need some help deciding my VIN. I have an 89 C-8000 with a Cat 3208 and am not sure if that was the original engine or not. I am having some overheating issues and am wondering if this could be part of my problem.

You can post picture of the label that has the vin and other codes on it, or just post the vin.

NOTE posts combined.

Post a picture of your label (on the door I think) that shows the VIN, trans, axle and other codes. That's the full decode.

Otherwise, just post the VIN for year, engine, model and little else.

The decodes are done by another FTE member when he get's around to it, as he pleases, and if he wants.....

There are on-line decoders.

17 digit, current back to 1981:
https://vincheck.info/free-vin-decod...rd-vin-decoder

11 digit, '80 and back:
VINwiz Decoder

Those may or may not work, just pulled 'em up via search.

'89 C 8000
33001 GVWR
10.4 V8 diesel, which would be the Cat 3208

(which answers the question as to the OEM engine)

Not sure there is much else in the VIN.

Info from the link in post 4.
